About the department
The School Reception is a busy, welcoming and highly organised central hub that supports the smooth day-to-day running of the school. Working as part of a team of five, the Reception team serves as the first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff and visitors, playing a key role in presenting a professional and positive image of the school. The environment is fast‑paced and varied, with responsibilities spanning front‑of‑house reception duties, pupil support, data management, safeguarding administration, reprographics and wider office coordination.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage the Reprographics Office, planning workloads and supporting key projects such as exams and events
- Produce high-quality printed materials (printing, copying, laminating and binding)
- Liaise with staff to prepare internal exam papers and teaching resources
- Maintain equipment, monitor stock levels and arrange repairs as needed
- Provide a welcoming front‑of‑house service, answering calls and greeting visitors
- Support reception duties, including signing in visitors and handling enquiries
- Assist with registers, stationery orders, pupil items and general school administration
- Contribute to school events and provide ad‑hoc administrative support as required

- Strong administrative and ICT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and a friendly, professional manner
- Able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail
- Confident working both independently and as part of a team

- High levels of integrity, discretion and professionalism
