We are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious international logistics business for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead a busy warehouse operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader with a background in warehouse, logistics or distribution who enjoys developing teams, maintaining high operational standards and delivering exceptional customer service.
The Role
As Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of warehouse operations, ensuring all inbound, outbound and storage activities are completed safely, accurately and efficiently. You'll lead by example, supporting and motivating your team while ensuring strict security procedures, operational compliance and customer expectations are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily activities of the warehouse operation.
- Lead, motivate and support a team of Warehouse Operatives.
- Ensure all inbound and outbound consignments are processed accurately and on time.
- Monitor workflow and allocate resources to achieve operational deadlines.
- Ensure all high-value goods are handled, stored and dispatched in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain accurate warehouse records and operational documentation.
- Monitor stock accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety, security and quality procedures.
- Conduct regular team briefings and provide coaching where required.
- Support the Warehouse Manager with performance monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure exceptional customer service is delivered.
- Assist with training of new team members.
- Promote a positive, professional and safety-focused working environment.
About You
We're looking for someone who leads from the front and enjoys developing high-performing teams. You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Team Leader or Logistics Supervisor.
- Experience within warehousing, logistics, freight or distribution.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organisational and planning ability.
- Experience managing KPIs and operational performance.
- A proactive approach to problem solving.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good IT skills and experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- A flexible approach to working hours when business needs require.
- The ability to pass a DBS check.
- Experience working within secure logistics, high-value goods, aviation cargo or similarly regulated environments would be highly advantageous.
