The Role

  • Setting up and operating water jet cutting machinery
  • Cutting materials accurately to specifications and drawings
  • Loading and unloading materials
  • Measuring and checking finished components
  • Carrying out quality checks to ensure a high standard of work
  • Monitoring machinery during production
  • Using an FLT to move materials safely around the site
  • General machine maintenance and housekeeping
  • Following all health & safety procedures
  • Working closely with the wider production team

Essential Requirements

  • Must hold a valid FLT licence
  • Previous experience working within a manufacturing, engineering or machining environment
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work from measurements and specifications
  • Reliable, hardworking and keen to develop
  • Comfortable working in a busy manufacturing environment

Desirable Experience

  • Previous water jet cutting experience
  • CNC or other machine operating experience
  • Experience working with different materials and cutting processes

Candidates with relevant machining experience and a genuine willingness to learn water jet cutting may also be considered.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday 07:00 – 17:00. No weekend working.
