The Role
- Setting up and operating water jet cutting machinery
- Cutting materials accurately to specifications and drawings
- Loading and unloading materials
- Measuring and checking finished components
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure a high standard of work
- Monitoring machinery during production
- Using an FLT to move materials safely around the site
- General machine maintenance and housekeeping
- Following all health & safety procedures
- Working closely with the wider production team
Essential Requirements
- Must hold a valid FLT licence
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing, engineering or machining environment
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work from measurements and specifications
- Reliable, hardworking and keen to develop
- Comfortable working in a busy manufacturing environment
Desirable Experience
- Previous water jet cutting experience
- CNC or other machine operating experience
- Experience working with different materials and cutting processes
Candidates with relevant machining experience and a genuine willingness to learn water jet cutting may also be considered.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday 07:00 – 17:00. No weekend working.
