We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable Machinist to join our team based in the S43 area of Chesterfield. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong engineering/manufacturing background who takes pride in producing high-quality work and is confident working in a busy workshop environment.
The Role
- Operating and setting machinery safely and efficiently
- Machining components to required specifications and tolerances
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Carrying out quality checks on finished components
- Using workshop tools and measuring equipment
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Working as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines
- Following all company health & safety procedures
About You
- Has previous experience working as a Machinist within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Can read and understand engineering drawings
- Has good attention to detail and takes pride in their work
- Is reliable, hardworking and able to work independently
- Has a good understanding of workshop health & safety
- Must hold a valid FLT (Forklift Truck) licence
- Previous experience with relevant machinery would be advantageous
