H&H Recruitment Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a long-established Sheffield engineering manufacturer specialising in advanced powder production and metal atomisation technology. This organisation is a recognised global supplier of metal powders, atomisation equipment, and innovative engineering solutions supporting sectors such as automotive, aerospace, medical, construction and renewables. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company known for strong in-house R&D, modern engineering facilities, and industry-leading development in water- and gas-atomised stainless steel powder technologies.
What you'll be doing:
- Conducting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults with some electrical support
- Supporting engineering improvement and reliability projects
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety and engineering procedures
- Working closely with production teams to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
What we're looking for:
- Strong mechanical engineering background (mechanical bias essential)
- Useful electrical knowledge
- Experience as a Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Engineer, or similar role within manufacturing or engineering
- Problem-solving ability with a proactive approach
- Willingness to participate in the on-call rota
Hours & Pay:
- 37.5 hours per week
- Β£42,500 - Β£45,000 per annum
- On-call rota: typically 1 week in 3
- Β£30 per night on-call payment
- If called out: minimum of 4 hours overtime at 1.5x pay, regardless of time spent on site
- Average call-outs: around 2 per month
