We've partnered with The Independent Pharmacy, the UK's leading online pharmacy, to help them recruit a Front End Product Owner into a key role within their Product & Development function, reporting to the Product Lead as they continue to evolve their digital product offering and mature their platform. They've been operating for close to 10 years and, with their strong clinical foundation and regulated healthcare expertise, they're on a mission to improve access to safe, trusted medicines while tackling misinformation and illegitimate products online. Their in‐house team of qualified clinicians ensures all patient journeys are safe, compliant, and clinically robust.
This is a great opportunity to take ownership of the D2C customer experience across their digital platform, with a strong focus on conversion, optimisation, and continuous improvement of front‐end journeys.
What you'll be doing
As Product Owner, you'll own execution of the product backlog across all customer‐facing journeys, including landing pages, consultation flows, checkout, subscription management, and ongoing patient engagement. You'll work closely with the Product Manager, as well as cross‐functional teams across Development, Marketing, Clinical, and Operations, to deliver high‐performing, compliant digital experiences that drive acquisition, retention, and subscription growth. A key part of the role will be improving conversion funnels and identifying friction points across the customer journey. You'll use behavioural insights and analytics tools to inform prioritisation, run structured experiments, and continuously optimise the end‐to‐end user experience.
Day to day, you'll be writing user stories and acceptance criteria, working closely with development partners through sprint planning and delivery, and supporting QA to ensure features are delivered to a high standard. You'll also help define success metrics for new features and track performance post‐launch. A strong focus of the role is balancing commercial optimisation with clinical and regulatory requirements, ensuring all customer journeys remain safe, compliant, and patient focused.
What experience you'll need
- Experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar product delivery role
- Experience working on customer‐facing digital products, ideally in eCommerce or transactional environments
- Strong understanding of front‐end user journeys and conversion optimisation
- Experience working with cross‐functional teams including engineering, marketing, and operations
- Strong ability to write user stories and define clear acceptance criteria
- Comfortable working with data and analytics to inform product decisions
- Experience in regulated or compliance‐led environments is beneficial but not essential
- A proactive, curious mindset with strong attention to detail and prioritisation skills
What you'll get in return
You'll receive a salary of up to £53,000, alongside a competitive benefits package. The role is hybrid with an expectation of three days per week in the office, offering the opportunity to join a collaborative product team where you'll have ownership over key customer journeys, exposure across a regulated digital healthcare platform, and the chance to directly influence conversion, growth, and patient experience.
Please note this is a hybrid role based in Bristol so we can only accept applications within commutable distance.
