Senior Compliance Administrator

18 Month FTC (MAT Cover)

Hybrid, City of London

£35,000-£38,000 (experience depended)

The Role:

You will be joining The IN Group – a global group of recruitment agencies and talent consultancies. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Compliance Administrator to lead UK candidate onboarding and associated placement administration. This role would be best suited to an experience compliance or contracts administration professional who is proactive, detail orientated and has a strong understanding of the candidate compliance process within a recruitment setting. Ideally you will have had previous experience in mentoring or managing a junior member of your team.

This role will be responsible for ensuring adherence to UK employment regulations, contractual compliance, and internal policies while overseeing the UK compliance administration team (1 head). The successful candidate will play a critical role in providing a proactive and high touch service to our sales team and to all the candidates we work with.

The Team

The Compliance team, supports our Sales Floor, owning all candidate compliance, onboarding and placement administration. Working as part of the wider Core Functions team of pro-active, highly engaged and driven individuals, we exist to provide world class service to our clients, candidates and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities in this role

  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a UK Compliance Administrator, providing guidance, training, and performance oversight.
  • Contract & Documentation: Draft, review, approve candidate contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
  • Contractor & Client Compliance: Oversee onboarding processes, verifying necessary documentation, and ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.
  • Audit & Risk Management: Conduct regular compliance audits, assess potential risks, and implement corrective actions to mitigate non-compliance.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and refine compliance procedures, ensuring best practices are maintained across all compliance functions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for compliance-related queries from internal teams, clients, and contractors.
  • Reporting & Insights: Generate reports on compliance metrics, audit findings, and regulatory changes, providing strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Training & Policy Implementation: Educate internal stakeholders on compliance best practices and assist in rolling out new policies and training initiatives.

What you need in order to succeed in this role

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience within a compliance or contractor administrator role is key to this position
  • Proven experience in compliance administration, risk management, or regulatory oversight within a cooperate environment.
  • Previous experience managing or mentoring a team member.
  • Knowledge of UK employment laws, GDPR, and recruitment industry compliance standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret regulatory requirements and implement practical solutions.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, compliance management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

Working Pattern:
