Come and be part of an established group celebrating our 100 year heritage in 2026. We have an established studio based in Leeds supporting several ecom clients. 2026 is a pivotal year where we are looking to start our transformation journey for a new purpose built studio in the north.
As the Lead Photographer, you will lead the Leeds and Cardiff team to deliver ecom excellence and support additional shoots as required. Nurturing and empowering the team to consistently deliver against the brief, standards and guidelines, for creative excellence through daily content reviews, marketplace research, regular client content reviews and competitor analysis.
Whilst the role is primarily focussed on fashion ecom content delivery for product model stills, video and product still life, you are also responsible for creative composite photography, concepts, creation and delivery in Leeds and Cardiff. There will be 2 days per month in Cardiff with the Director of Creative Services and the Agency MD for the client monthly meeting.
The role works closely with the Client Services Manager and Retouch Manager to prepare, prep and ensure our SLA’s and KPIs are met within budget, on time and above the expected quality threshold. You will be supported creatively by the Agency Creative Director.
Core Activities & Responsibilities
- Shoot set up, preparation and creative planning, including lighting, set, props, calibration
- Shoot day execution, for consistent high volume elevated ecom.
- Responsible for the post shoot review, fast processing, selection, approval and updating the production status plan. Targeting a smooth, transparent and consistent production service, escalating any impacts & issues to schedule; capacity and quality to the Leeds.
- Quality, competitor analysis and trend research
- Client support for review meetings, changes and advisory on trends and competitor analysis
- Develop & knowledge share with the team, to install production best practice, communication and decision making excellence for long term efficiencies on ecom
- Deliver against the asset delivery standards, SLA’s & KPI’s, providing constant improvement recommendations
Qualifications
- Excellent Photographic & content capture knowledge and portfolio
- Experience in creatively leading a productive internal photo studio, focussed on multi-channel asset production
- A strong understanding of industry-standard processes and tools, including photography equipment and software
- Excel in creating high-quality, on-brand photography content while meeting stringent deadlines
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Excellent studio process, lighting, knowledge & experience
- Excellent people engagement skills
- Excellent stakeholder management, service and quality knowledge
- Good project and change management skills
- Pro-active, positive & flexible with a ‘can-do’ attitude, able to motivate colleagues to achieve excellence
