Role type: Part-time – 8 hours per week on zero hour contract, with additional hours available during busy projects

Central CPD On-Demand is looking for a clinically knowledgeable veterinary professional to help develop, edit and maintain high-quality online veterinary learning content.

This role would suit a vet or registered veterinary nurse with strong clinical understanding, excellent attention to detail and good IT skills. The successful candidate will work with filmed veterinary short course content, transforming it into clear, structured online learning series for veterinary professionals.

The role involves editing and organising course content, writing accompanying descriptions and website copy, creating multiple-choice questions, reviewing notes, supporting quality assurance processes and ensuring content remains accurate, relevant and up to date.

Safe and appropriate use of AI tools is encouraged to support efficiency, creativity and consistency, while maintaining clinical accuracy, copyright awareness and professional standards.

Content development and editing

  • Review filmed short course content and convert it into structured core learning series for Central CPD On-Demand.
  • Split longer course recordings into clear, logical topics and individual videos.
  • Identify key learning points and ensure the structure supports effective online learning.
  • Write clear, engaging and accurate course descriptions, topic summaries and supporting copy.
  • Review and attach course notes and supporting learning materials.

Clinical accuracy and educational quality

  • Use veterinary clinical knowledge to assess content for accuracy, relevance and clarity.
  • Flag any areas where content may need review.
  • Ensure terminology, clinical messaging and learning outcomes are appropriate for the target audience.
  • Support the development of content that is educationally useful, clinically relevant and aligned with Central CPD standards.
  • Collaborate with the team for recommendations on future content.

Assessment creation

  • Create multiple-choice questions based on course content.
  • Ensure MCQs are clinically accurate, clearly worded and appropriately challenging.
  • Review questions for ambiguity, duplication or factual errors.

Uploading and platform support

  • Upload and organise video content on video platform.
  • Add descriptions, titles, tags and supporting information as required.
  • Support the preparation of content for publication on the On-Demand platform.
  • Maintain clear records of content edits, uploads and QA status.
  • Work confidently with digital systems, spreadsheets, shared drives and online learning platforms.

Quality assurance and content maintenance

  • Follow QA processes to ensure content is complete, accurate and ready for publication.
  • Check that video, notes, descriptions, MCQs and supporting materials are correctly formatted and uploaded.
  • Review existing content periodically to ensure it remains up to date.
  • Identify outdated clinical guidance, broken links, unclear wording or content that may require refreshing.
  • Support continuous improvement of the On-Demand learning experience.

Use of AI tools

  • Use AI tools safely and appropriately to support tasks such as drafting descriptions, summarising content, generating initial MCQ ideas and improving copy.
  • Ensure all AI-assisted work is reviewed carefully for clinical accuracy, tone, originality and relevance.
  • Follow company guidance on data privacy, copyright, confidentiality and responsible AI use.
  • Avoid relying on AI for final clinical judgement without appropriate professional review.

Essential requirements

  • Qualified veterinary surgeon or registered veterinary nurse.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and confidence interpreting veterinary educational content.
  • Excellent written English and ability to produce clear, accurate and engaging copy.
  • Good IT skills, including confidence using online platforms, spreadsheets, shared documents and video hosting systems.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to organise information logically and structure learning content effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple content tasks.
  • Understanding of the importance of clinical accuracy, professional standards and learner experience.
  • Comfortable using, or willing to learn, Vimeo and online learning/content management systems.
  • Willingness to use AI tools safely and responsibly where appropriate.
