With 357 bedrooms, multiple dining venues, a workout studio, and destination rooftop bar, this will be a new beacon, bang in the heart of Bloomsbury, London.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a confident, welcoming and highly observant Doorman to be the first point of contact for our guests. You’ll be the calm, reassuring presence at our doors — greeting guests, supporting arrivals and departures, and helping keep the hotel safe, secure and running smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Give every guest a warm, professional welcome and guide them where they need to go
  • Handle guest queries, problems or complaints with confidence and care
  • Stay alert to safety, security and wellbeing — reporting issues immediately to the Duty Manager or relevant leaders
  • Liaise with emergency services when required and support the team during critical situations
  • Assist guests with luggage, directions and general support throughout their stay
  • Conduct floor patrols, fire checks, secure access points and help maintain a safe hotel environment
  • Investigate noise, disruption or incidents with professionalism
  • Help keep forecourts, entrances and public spaces clear, tidy and guest-ready
  • Support check-in with self-check-in devices, key distribution and guest communication
  • Work closely with all hotel departments to ensure guest expectations are exceeded
  • Participate in staff training and help onboard new team members
  • Carry out additional tasks to maintain high standards throughout the hotel

Who You Are:

  • Excellent communicator with experience handling customer issues face-to-face and over phone/email
  • Calm under pressure, confident in difficult situations and naturally guest-focused
  • Comfortable using MS Office and able to communicate in English to CEFR B2 level
  • Ideally experienced in a Security, Concierge or Porter role in hospitality
  • Desirable: SIA Level 2 Door Security, First Aid, Health & Safety or Manual Handling training

What’s In It for You:

  • 28 days holiday, rising to 33 with length of service (including bank holidays)
  • Access to ILH Training Academy programmes, apprenticeships and supported study
  • Holiday Purchase Scheme
  • Complimentary uniform dry-cleaning, plus discounted personal dry-cleaning
  • Interest-free Season Ticket Loan
  • Workplace Pension
  • Team Member flat rate and 50% friends and family hotel discount
  • 50% discount across ILH F&B outlets
  • Discounted drinks at Blooms Café
  • Employee-funded Health Cash Plan
  • Local Bloomsbury discounts
  • Early Pay access
  • Shopping discounts with selected retailers
  • Salary sacrifice schemes including nursery care, cycle to work, and technology
  • Access to mental health first-aiders, wellbeing support and the Employee Assistance Programme
