We're The Ideas Department, or tid to our friends, an award-winning marketing, design and branding agency established in 2010, with a wealth of experience across retail, hospitality and destination marketing.

Over the years we've partnered with some of the UK's biggest brands, who value us for our strategic thinking, creativity and ability to deliver.

We specialise in all things brand, from creative thinking, brand development and identity, brand guardianship and strategic thinking, through to toolkits and guidelines, creative copywriting, graphic design, digital design and animation, art direction and styling.

Whatever the challenge, we love helping brands find their voice, tell their story and connect with their audience.

But it's not what we do that makes us different - it's how we do it.

The clue is in our name.

Every project begins with an idea.

Before we put pen to paper or pixel to screen, we challenge the brief, ask the right questions and uncover what makes each brand unique.

It's this level of thinking that sits behind everything we create, helping our clients stand out for all the right reasons and, more importantly, achieve real results.

There are plenty of agencies that can offer the same services. They may produce great-looking work, but ideas? That's our department.

As a small agency, everyone plays an important role.

You'll work closely with clients, collaborate directly with our creative team and gain hands‑on experience from day one.

No two days are ever the same, and you'll quickly become involved in a wide variety of exciting projects for some fantastic brands.

We're looking for a North West UK based Graduate Account Executive who's organised, curious, eager to learn and excited to build a career in a creative agency.

If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.

WHAT IS THE ROLE ALL ABOUT?

As a Graduate Account Executive, you'll be the link between our clients and our creative team, supporting the accounts team to keep projects moving from initial brief through to final delivery.

You'll help turn client feedback into clear creative briefs, coordinate work through the studio and ensure every project is delivered accurately, on time and to the highest standard.

Working across a range of well‑known brands in hospitality, leisure and retail, you'll gain hands‑on experience in every stage of the creative process, with the opportunity to grow into managing your own client accounts.

You'll be involved in a little bit of everything, including

  • Briefing designers on new projects, amendments and artwork rollouts.
  • Managing project timelines and helping schedule work through the studio.
  • Building relationships with clients through Slack, emails, calls and meetings.
  • Checking artwork before it reaches clients and managing the internal sign-off process.
  • Problem solving - adapting to new unfamiliar situations, particularly in high pressure environments with tight deadlines.
  • Updating work‑in‑progress documents and tracking studio hours.
  • Liaising with printers, photographers and other external suppliers.
  • Researching trends and campaign inspiration when required.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • We're looking for someone who has a degree in Marketing or a related discipline and is…
  • Organised and proactive.
  • Curious and eager to learn.
  • Detail-oriented with a great eye for accuracy and results focussed.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects at once.
  • Happy asking questions and taking on feedback.
  • Passionate about marketing, design and creative thinking.
  • WHAT YOU’LL GAIN

This is a hands‑on role where you'll learn by doing - experience in project management, creative briefing, client relationships, marketing campaigns, brand guidelines, design workflows, proofreading and commercial awareness, all while working alongside an experienced and supportive team.
