The Bugle is a long-standing unique Pub at the heart of the Hamble community, we are a firm favourite with the locals due to our balance between maintaining the traditional Pub feel of warm, welcoming and friendly service coupled with our modern and contemporary twist on food which is cooked from scratch by our excellent kitchen team. Housing a traditional bar, restaurant, private dining room and outdoor terrace, it can be a prime & busy location, especially over the weekends and summer periods. The Bugle’s special ingredient however is the passionate, open and supportive teams who make it their mission to bring joy to both our customers and each other every day.
To take us forward with our ambitions and truly earn our place in the hearts and stomachs of the Community we are looking for a Sous Chef to join our team.
How we define success of a Sous Chef:- Food consistency, you want to ensure that every customer’s plate looks top notch and you understand that presentation is just as important as taste.
- Service is highly organised and all chefs feel confident on expectations and have a clear sense of communication and direction.
- Your passion for food is infectious and you take those starting out in their career under your wing to guide and teach them.
- You play a leading role in supporting financial success through pro-active action on the different financial levers and controls.
- You collaborate and foster a great relationship with your front of house teams, leading by example with respectful and two way communication.
- You are chomping at the bit to learn everything you can to be the next Head Chef and pro-active in developing your skills.
