The Ickworth, part of Luxury Family Hotels, is entering an exciting new era. Join our team as Pastry Chef and play your part in shaping the next chapter of this much-loved Suffolk retreat.

The Role: We are now seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef - the most creative and fun role in the kitchen! As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for crafting delightful pastries and desserts that leave a lasting impression on our guests. Your creativity and attention to detail will shine as you design and prepare sweet treats to contemporary desserts. This is a permanent role, at 48 hours per week (including weekends), paying a salary of £37,440 per annum plus generous service charge and a brilliant benefit package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and prepare a variety of desserts, pastries, and confections.
  • Develop new and innovative recipes from development of the afternoon teas to Christmas masterpieces.
  • Staying up-to-date with culinary trends in pastry and dessert arts.
  • Collaborate with the Head chef and kitchen team to create cohesive and delightful dining experiences.
To succeed in this role we are looking for someone who has
  • Demonstrated experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, including baking, decorating, and presentation.
  • Creativity and innovation in recipe development, with a passion for experimenting with flavours and textures.
