Position Overview

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Commis Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team and contribute to our ongoing success. This is a permanent role, at 48 hours per week (including weekends), with a salary of £31,700 per annum plus generous service charge and a brilliant benefit package.

You will

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes according to our restaurant’s standards and recipes.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and presented to the highest quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Support senior chefs with various kitchen tasks, including food prep, plating, and inventory management.
  • Participate in menu planning and contribute innovative ideas for new dishes.
  • Uphold the highest standards of food hygiene and safety practices.

What we need

  • Proven experience as a Commis Chef or similar role in a reputable establishment will be beneficial; however, training will be provided.
  • Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
  • A friendly and engaging personality, with a passion for hospitality and great service and a desire to learn and develop new skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Food Hygiene level 2 would be beneficial.
