The Ickworth, part of Luxury Family Hotels, is entering an exciting new era. As a Breakfast Chef, you will play a part in shaping the next chapter of this much-loved Suffolk retreat.

Position Overview:

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so our Breakfast Chef will play a pivotal role in delivering a delightful morning dining experience for our guests, ensuring that every dish is prepared to the highest standard. This is a permanent position, at 40 hours per week (including weekends), with a salary of £28,210 per annum - plus generous service charge and a brilliant benefit package.

You will:

  • Prepare and cook breakfast dishes according to recipes and specifications, using fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables from our on-site kitchen garden.
  • Demonstrate your awareness and understanding of allergens.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during breakfast service, working efficiently to minimise waste and optimise food cost.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels, placing orders as needed.
  • Assist with menu development and contribute creative ideas for enhancing the breakfast offerings.

What we need:

  • Proven experience as a Breakfast Chef or similar role in a reputable establishment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.
  • A friendly and engaging personality, with a passion for hospitality and great service.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Food Hygiene level 2 would be beneficial.
