Overview

EWI (Solid Wall) Remediation Technician is a skilled professional responsible for the removal and remediation of External/Solid Wall insulation using varied system specifications. The role requires an understanding of insulation materials and the ability to identify defects and solutions.

This role includes travel and staying in various locations in the UK.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • To carry out External Wall Insulation repair works following scope of works details and procedures.
  • Where applicable to carry out installation of EWI Systems, includes preparing the wall surface, fixing insulation board and applying render or cladding using a variety of materials, tools, including patching components, render and mesh.
  • Reapply topcoats and finishes to match existing textures and colours, ensuring a seamless repair.
  • Ensure all works follow the corresponding specification and safety guidelines
  • Ensure customers are communicated with effectively before, during and after remediation works
  • Accurately document work carried out, including inspection evidence showing pre, mid and post photographs.
  • Maintaining tools and equipment and ensuring they are in good working order
  • Operate in a manner that is consistent with good Health and Safety practice and does not present hazards to others.

Knowledge, Skills and experience

  • NVQ or equivalent in EWI /Solid wall insulation installation or a related trade, with more than two years’ experience in construction or a related trade
  • Understanding the different types of EWI systems, the materials used, and relevant building regulations.
  • The ability to use hand and power tools, follow instructions, and work with precision.
  • A full UK driving license, as it is a field-based role.
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Effective communication with colleagues, managers, supervisors, and customers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £36,000.00 per year
