We’re looking for an experienced Technical Author around the Bristol/Somerset area to produce high-quality documentation for industrial machinery and engineering/manufacturing products. You’ll work closely with engineers to create clear, accurate and user‑focused content.
What you will be doing:
- Writing user manuals, installation guides, maintenance instructions, datasheets and product papers
- Gathering information from engineers, CAD models and SMEs
- Working with illustrators and translators to deliver complete document sets
Requirements:
- Technical Authoring experience in engineering / industrial machinery / manufacturing
- Able to interpret engineering drawings, CAD exports and technical data
- Local to Bristol and able to attend site up to 3 days/week
- Strong skills in structured writing, safety content and technical communication
- Proficient with Word, InDesign, MadCap Flare or similar tools
- Advanced Word
