Salary: Teacher Pay scales – PT1 (£36400) – EPT3 (£53040) plus TLR and benefits including: Teachers Pension, Health Care Cash Plan, Generous Staff Discount scheme, 1 personal leave day per year.
The Role: We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and influential SENDCO. The successful applicant must have the drive and desire to be consistently outstanding. You will be someone who shares our moral purpose of ensuring that all our young people receive the best education possible in a supportive environment from people who care about them. You will be passionate about your subject and will inspire our students to be so as well.
Key areas of responsibility are:
- Support the Principal and Vice Principal in shaping the delivery of Inclusion and SEND provision within the school.
- Work with the pastoral staff to deliver outstanding outcomes for all students with special educational needs, difficulties or disabilities.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure that identified students have access to the full range of curriculum provision and educational resources.
- Keep abreast of relevant national and local developments, providing advice and guidance to Senior Leaders on relevant legislation and other matters.
- Contribute to the strategic development planning process for the Inclusion and SEN provision across the Academy.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A commitment to the personal and professional development of students and staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A supportive and collaborative working environment.
