We are looking for a self‑motivated, enthusiastic and reliable Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support students with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Role Overview
Predominantly based within our Science department, supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, while contributing to the wider work of the SEND team and whole‑school operations, including interventions and short‑term cover supervision.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral colleagues and the Inclusion Team to deliver targeted one‑to‑one and small group interventions.
- Monitor student progress and act as a key worker for identified students, including those with EHCPs.
- Collaborate with parents, carers and external agencies to ensure effective and joined‑up support.
- Provide personal care in line with student healthcare plans where required.
- Uphold high expectations, promote independence and support students to engage positively with learning, particularly within a practical subject area.
