Hyde is looking to recruit a Housing Officer to work on its PFI contract in Islington. Hyde is one of the UK’s leading Housing Associations. Resident Services work closely with our customers, providing housing services, housing management and first-class customer care.
As a Housing Officer you will be responsible for providing an effective housing service to the tenants and leaseholders of the properties on the Islington PFI contract.
Key Responsibilities of a Housing Officer- Manage properties as part of specialist team, managing a PFI contract with Islington council
- Ensure that all contractual Key Performance Indicators are met.
- Act as an advocate for customers on housing management issues and liaise with relevant departments to explore appropriate resolutions
- Ensure the prompt inspection, viewing and sign up of all void properties
- Undertake tenancy visits and inspections to properties
- Facilitate access to properties for the heating and repairs teams to ensure they can carry out all repairs and gas safety inspections
- Attend forced entries
- Deal sensitively with vulnerable residents and refer cases to appropriate support providers
- Present cases for court action and represent at court, liaising with solicitors where appropriate
- Experience of working in a similar customer focused role
- Strong knowledge of social housing
- Proficient IT Skills
