Hyde is looking to recruit an Assurance Officer. Hyde is a leading provider of affordable homes, dedicated to helping people access safe and high-quality housing. As an Assurance Officer at Hyde, you will be working within the Risk and Governance team to assist in maintaining high standards of data and information governance. You will investigate incidents, assess risks, and respond to data-related requests. You will also carry out audits and provide advice to ensure compliance with data governance policies.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development and application of Hyde's Data and Information Governance Framework.
- Carry out audits to check compliance with governance policies and suggest improvements.
- Investigate incidents, assess risks, and respond to data requests, including Data Subject Rights and CCTV access.
- Help deliver training and guidance to colleagues on data governance best practices.
- Work with stakeholders to promote compliance and ensure governance policies are followed.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and regulations to support continuous improvement.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Knowledge of GDPR, data governance, and managing data requests is desirable (Freedom Of Information, CCTV, data subject access requests).
- Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong customer service, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience handling incident management and risk assessments.
- Good problem-solving, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
- Ideally a graduate, but not essential.
