Hyde is looking for an experienced Bricklayer - Groundworker to join our busy Property Maintenance team. As a Bricklayer - Groundworker at Hyde, you'll be working in our homes carrying out day-to-day repairs and maintenance. You'll be trusted to get jobs done right first time and to treat our customers with respect in their homes. If you're a hands-on tradesperson who can turn their hand to a range of jobs and takes pride in doing things properly, we'd like to hear from you.

What you'll be doing:

  • Carrying out multi-trade repairs including carpentry, plumbing, plastering and general maintenance.
  • Erecting and repairing fencing and gates, repairing concrete floors, and addressing issues in garden areas.
  • Following work orders and reporting back on progress and materials used.
  • Always working safely and following Hyde's health and safety procedures.
  • Providing a professional, friendly service to customers in their homes.
  • Repointing old or damaged mortar joints, replacing broken bricks/blocks, and repairing walls, chimneys, and structural features.
  • Excavating, repairing, and re-installing drainage systems, flagging (paving), and edging to paths and driveway.

What we're looking for:

  • Solid experience across multiple trades, especially carpentry, plumbing and plastering.
  • Confident using hand and power tools.
  • Able to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • A practical problem-solver who can spot issues and fix them properly.
  • Good communication skills and a customer-friendly attitude.
  • Physically fit and happy with hands-on work.
  • Experience working in social housing is a bonus.
  • A full, valid UK driving licence.
