Position: Shift Manager

Location: 3 Amy Johnson Court, Amy Johnson Way, Blackpool FY4 2RP

Shift Pattern: Rotational (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm)

THG’s Manufacturing Division operates around the clock, across multiple global facilities, ensuring our customers receive safe, effective, and innovative nutrition solutions. This role sits within one of our satellite sites, where our teams work with precision, pace and pride to deliver exceptional results every day.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and driven Shift Manager to lead one of our dynamic production teams. You will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence across your shift, focusing on safety, quality, cost, and delivery. You will inspire a culture of continuous improvement, high performance, and accountability, while delivering against key KPIs and maintaining an unwavering focus on product and process excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, support and motivate a team of production operatives to achieve and exceed performance targets.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in line with safety standards and quality procedures.
  • Own and deliver the production plan on a daily basis, ensuring optimal output and efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider management team to drive operational improvements and resolve challenges around planning, staffing, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct effective shift handovers and deliver structured team briefs, focusing on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Proactively identify and address areas of non-conformance, implementing root cause analysis and preventative actions.
  • Drive the use of visual management tools and World Class Manufacturing techniques to enhance productivity and consistency.
  • Support the personal and professional development of your team, including regular performance reviews, coaching, and constructive feedback.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging new ideas and team involvement.
