Based at our PLN Blackpool manufacturing site, you’ll play a key role in protecting the standards behind some of the world's leading nutrition brands. Specialising in supplement and capsule manufacturing, the site offers a unique opportunity to work within a close-knit team where your expertise, leadership and decisions will have a visible impact on both site performance and product quality.
As Quality Manager, you will lead the site's Quality function, acting as the subject matter expert for food safety, quality and compliance. Working closely with colleagues across Operations, Production and Technical teams you will drive continuous improvement, maintain industry leading standards and help shape the future of quality across the site.

What impact will I make?
- Lead the site's Quality Assurance function, championing food safety, quality and compliance standards across all operations.
- Manage and continuously improve the site's Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance and maintaining BRC accreditation.
- Act as the site's technical expert on food safety, hygienic design, equipment suitability and validation of cleaning processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce waste, improve quality performance and support operational excellence.
- Oversee internal and external laboratory testing programmes, ensuring robust testing protocols, accurate interpretation of results and compliance with audit requirements.
- Develop, coach and mentor the quality team, creating a high-performing culture focused on quality, accountability and continuous improvement.
What will help me succeed?
- A minimum of three years' experience within a quality and/or food safety role in the food or beverage manufacturing industry.
- At least two years' experience leading or managing teams.
- HACCP Level 3 certification and a Food Hygiene qualification.
- Experience managing microbiology and laboratory testing programmes, including interpreting and validating results.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, quality systems and regulatory requirements within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience delivering quality improvement initiatives and leading projects to successful outcomes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence colleagues at all levels.
- A methodical, organised and results-focused approach, with experience using industry-standard quality systems and software.
Nice to have
- Previous experience within supplement, capsule or nutritional product manufacturing.
- Experience supporting or leading external audits and accreditation programmes.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
