About the role:
The role will encompass all aspects of Warehousing from receiving deliveries, supplying the factories with materials to loading outbound orders, and everything in between. Responsibilities include:
- Ensure stock is rotated and used in order of date expiry
- Inspect materials prior to issuing to factory for damage or defect
- Report or rectify any stock discrepancies when observed
- Ensure all physical transactions are replicated on Stock Control computer system (ERP)
- Ensure warehouse facilities are secure at all times
- Comply with company ‘clean as you go’ policy
- Liaise with delivery drivers and the Public to maintain a harmonious working environment
- Take care of your own Health & Safety and that of others
- Provide suggestions on ways of improving efficiency and reducing waste
- Work effectively as part of a team whilst maintaining the capability to function individually
- Carry out daily inspections of FLT vehicles against supplied check sheet
- Carry out any reasonable request in the most efficient way
- Respect and value other members of staff
- Have a responsibility for the food safety, Quality and legality of finished product
- Carry out baling activities from waste generated from production activities
- Carry out high level cleaning where needed
Qualifications:
- Counter-balance FLT license and experience
- Previous experience in warehousing would be desirable
- Good level of computer literacy, including Excel and ERP/WMS system
- High level of numeracy will be required for all aspects of this role
