Shift: Monday: Friday, 37.5 hours (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
Location: Tywyn, Wales
Salary: £55,000 -70,000 (depending on experience)
Reporting to: Engineering Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our team at Brighter Foods X THG Manufacturing. This role will be responsible for our new automated factory and will design, programme and test the automated machinery to be able to complete exact tasks.
You will have the ability to interrogate PLC’s to fault find. Work on and improve line logic within the process. This role also requires developing others within the team to meet the business needs of a 24/7 production site.
Whilst a Monday to Friday role there will be a level of out of hours support. A strong electrical background is required to assist in some day to day electrical breakdowns and faults.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular maintenance on automated machinery.
- Perform repairs and troubleshooting exercises.
- Work on custom automated solutions.
- Implement improvements with evident results, efficiencies and savings.
- Programme and configure new equipment into existing systems.
- Provide technical direction and training to support the rest of the team.
- Ensure safety within the environment.
- PLC and electrical fault finding.
- Work with OEM’s to improve current programs.
What we are looking for
- Experience in working within an FMCG business, with automated machinery.
- Degree inEngineering, Automation, or a related field.
- Proficiency in PLC programming, SQL, Python, and Java
- Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
