About Internal Audit Team and the Role
The THG Internal Audit team operates globally and covers all areas of the Group including, but not limited to, Finance, Commercial Finance, HR & Payroll, Procurement, Online Retail, Marketing, Customer Services, Logistics, Warehousing, Health & Safety, Security, Regulatory Compliance. The Audit team also operates across all Business units; Nutrition, Beauty, Luxury, Experience and Ingenuity.
Group Enterprise Risk Manager
Reporting to Director Risk & Internal Audit, the Group Enterprise Risk Manager will be a key member of the Risk team, responsible for managing group-wide risks and overseeing all Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) activities. The Group Enterprise Risk Manager will provide guidance, support, and challenge to the business to drive the embedding of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) and the effective management of risk across all of THG’s functional and global business areas.
You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of the Principal and Operational Risk processes, implementing an Emerging Risk process, and ensuring that appropriate, accurate, and timely risk information is available to decision-makers.
As a Group Enterprise Risk Manager you will be:
- Drive the continued evolution and maturity of the Group’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF).
- Manage the end-to-end process for identifying, assessing, and managing Principal, Emerging, and Operational risks across the group.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key business and functional stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact for all matters relating to risk.
- Facilitate risk and control assessments, 'deep dives', and workshops with risk owners and senior leadership teams to provide insight and challenge.
- Oversee the management of regional and functional risk registers, dashboards, and metrics within the Group’s GRC tool.
- Produce high-quality, accurate risk reports and papers for the Risk Committee, Executive Committee, and other senior stakeholders to support risk-informed decision making.
- Provide hands-on risk management guidance and support to all levels of the business, promoting a positive risk culture.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of risk management policies, processes, and tools.
- Work closely with Internal Audit team to ensure there is an integrated approach to risk, controls, and assurance.
- Support the investigation and reporting of incidents as required.
What skills and experience do I need for this role?
- A practical, hands-on approach to risk management, with a strong delivery focus and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- A self-starter, with the proven ability to work on your own initiative and form independent, sound judgments.
- Extensive enterprise risk management experience, preferably gained within a large, multi-national organisation or a 'Big 4' firm.
- Demonstrable experience in building, implementing, and embedding ERM practices, including strategic, principal, and operational risk management.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and report writing skills, with the confidence and credibility to engage, influence, and challenge senior stakeholders.
- Experience using Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools is essential.
- A commercial mindset, with experience in a retail / e-commerce business being highly desirable.
