The Opportunity

We’re looking for a high‑performing Editorial Content Creator / Producer to lead the creation of engaging, authoritative and genuinely useful long‑form editorial content for Lookfantastic’s Content Hub. This is a hands‑on editorial role for someone who knows how to turn insight, research and expertise into compelling, well‑written content that audiences want to read and search engines want to surface.

You’ll create a range of longer‑form editorial content — from expert‑led features and in‑depth guides to educational articles, trend pieces and buying content — taking ownership from initial idea and research through to writing, editing, optimisation and publication. Alongside your core editorial remit, you’ll help bring these stories to life across YouTube, video and social, working closely with the Social Producer to translate strong editorial ideas into platform‑first content.

The role combines editorial judgement, excellent writing and storytelling, content strategy and production, with a strong understanding of SEO, GEO and AI‑powered discoverability. You’ll also manage and develop the Social Producer, ensuring editorial campaigns are effectively amplified beyond the Content Hub.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own long‑form editorial content
  • Develop and produce high‑quality long‑form editorial content, including expert features, in‑depth articles, educational content, buying guides, trend pieces and evergreen editorial.
  • Take ownership of content from idea generation, research and interviews through to writing, editing, optimisation and publication.
  • Develop strong editorial angles and narratives that make complex or technical beauty topics engaging, accessible and useful.
  • Interview experts, brands and relevant contributors to bring authority, expertise and original insight to our content.
  • Maintain a consistently high editorial standard across tone, accuracy, structure, storytelling and presentation.
  • Identify opportunities to build out evergreen content, topical authority and editorial franchises across the Content Hub.
  • Develop editorial video and storytelling
  • Identify long‑form editorial stories with potential to become YouTube and video‑first content.
  • Develop video concepts, scripts, storyboards and production briefs, coordinating filming and production where required.
  • Work with the Social Producer to turn editorial stories into engaging, platform‑specific social and video formats.
  • Ensure the original editorial idea remains strong and coherent as it moves across different formats and channels.
  • Optimise for discovery
  • Apply SEO, GEO and AI discoverability best practice throughout the editorial process.
  • Work with SEO specialists to identify opportunities around search intent, topical authority, internal linking and content optimisation.
  • Understand how audiences discover and consume content through traditional search, social platforms, YouTube and AI‑powered search experiences.
  • Use performance data to continuously improve existing content and inform future editorial opportunities.
  • Own and evolve the Content Hub
  • Manage the editorial pipeline and day‑to‑day content production for the Content Hub.
  • Maintain and refresh existing content, identifying opportunities to improve relevance, quality, engagement and organic performance.
  • Develop new evergreen content opportunities based on audience needs, search behaviour, trends and wider beauty conversations.
  • Help shape the ongoing editorial direction and voice of Lookfantastic’s Content Hub.
  • Lead and collaborate
  • Manage and develop the Social Producer, providing clear direction, feedback and editorial input.
  • Work closely with SEO, Social, PR, Creative, CRM, Copywriters and external experts to deliver integrated editorial campaigns and launches.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external contributors, balancing editorial quality with commercial and campaign requirements.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of editorial output.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in a high‑performing digital editorial, publishing or content role, with a strong portfolio of longer‑form content.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to create authoritative content that is both engaging and useful.
  • Experience developing content from initial editorial idea through research, interviews, writing, editing and publication.
  • Strong editorial judgement and an understanding of what makes content credible, distinctive and genuinely valuable to an audience.
  • Experience producing or contributing to YouTube, editorial video or video‑first storytelling.
  • Strong understanding of SEO and content optimisation, with working knowledge of GEO and AI‑powered discoverability.
  • Excellent organisation and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple editorial projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • A proactive, curious approach to finding new stories, formats and opportunities to grow an audience.
  • Experience managing, mentoring or developing junior creative, editorial or production talent.
  • Experience working within beauty, fashion, lifestyle, retail or another consumer‑focused editorial environment.
  • CMS experience and basic video editing or production skills.
  • Experience using GA4, Google Search Console and SEO/content platforms.
  • Familiarity with AI tools for research, ideation, content development and optimisation.
  • Experience working with subject matter experts and conducting editorial interviews.

  • Content drives sustained organic discovery across search and emerging AI‑powered discovery platforms.
