Role: Senior Category Manager / Category Lead – Offline Retail (B2B)
This is a high-impact role at the heart of THG Nutrition’s offline retail growth ambitions. As Senior Category Manager, you’ll own and shape the category strategy for offline retail channels, translating deep consumer and market insight into compelling ranges that win in-store. As a Senior Category Manager – B2B, you’ll:
- Own the offline retail category strategy for a defined product portfolio, driving sustainable growth in revenue, margin and distribution.
- Develop and deliver category plans aligned to wider THG Nutrition and brand commercial objectives.
- Lead range architecture, assortment optimisation, pricing and promotional strategy for offline retail channels.
- Analyse category and customer performance, translating data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
- Identify white space opportunities, range gaps and innovation priorities to fuel future growth.
- Partner closely with Sales and Retail partners to ensure ranges are compelling, competitive and commercially optimised.
- Collaborate with Product, Innovation and Supply Chain teams to bring new products to market successfully and with the consumer at the heart of decisions.
- Present category performance, insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders with confidence and clarity.
- Continuously track market, competitor and consumer trends to keep categories ahead of the curve.
- Shape the long‑term category vision and strategy to meet the growing consumer demand for health and sports nutrition categories.
What skills and experience do I need for this role?
- Proven experience in category management, commercial analysis or buying within FMCG, nutrition, health or consumer goods (offline retail experience essential).
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to own and influence category‑level decisions.
- Highly analytical, comfortable working with large datasets and translating insight into action.
- Strong leadership skills and team management experience.
This role will require managing a current team and building out to meet our growth ambitions.
