THG is hiring an EU Regulatory Manager with strong expertise in UK/EU food and food supplement regulations, particularly around labelling compliance.

Reporting to the Senior Regulatory Manager, this role supports product compliance and international market growth across THG brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the SME for UK/EU food & supplement regulations, advising teams across the business.
  • Manage and develop a small team of Regulatory Associates.
  • Provide regulatory support across business projects and product development (NPD/EPD).
  • Review product formulations to ensure UK/EU compliance.
  • Approve labels, packaging, websites, advertising, marketing materials, and digital content.
  • Ensure compliance of nutrition and health claims across products and marketing.
  • Manage EU supplement notifications and registrations where required.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and conduct risk assessments/horizon scanning.
  • Support BRCGS audits, quality systems, and act as regulatory lead within HACCP activities.
  • Update regulatory policies, create training materials, and train internal teams.
  • Investigate customer complaints, labelling discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Work cross-functionally with Quality, Marketing, Brand, Supply Chain, Commercial, and NPD teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement of regulatory systems and processes.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Degree in Nutrition, Food Science, Food Technology, Food Law, Food Safety, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of EU food legislation (labelling, claims, additives, contaminants, novel foods, packaging, food safety).
  • Experience interpreting regulations across multiple EU markets.
  • Understanding of emerging regulatory trends and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess regulatory impact on products and business decisions.
  • Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercial awareness with ability to balance compliance and business objectives.
