About the Role
We’re looking for a practical and reliable Stores Person / Supply Chain Assistant to join our team for the 2026 summer season. This hands‑on role is central to ensuring our restaurants receive the right goods, in the right condition, at the right time. You’ll handle incoming and outgoing deliveries, maintain accurate stock records, and have the opportunity to grow your skills in hospitality logistics and supply chain management — including training to support ordering and purchasing processes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Receive supplier deliveries, checking quality, temperature, and specification accuracy.
- Pick, assemble, and load outgoing restaurant orders, ensuring each delivery meets requirements.
- Deliver goods to restaurant site locally safely, on time, and with professionalism.
- Carry out weekly interim and monthly full stocktakes for fresh, frozen, and dry goods, assisting with variance analysis.
- Maintain clean, well‑organized, and compliant storage areas at all times.
- Liaise with suppliers and restaurant teams to resolve any order or quality issues.
- Assist in building supplier orders, international shipments, and supporting purchasing admin.
- Work closely with the Supply Chain Manager to ensure smooth supply flow across all sites.
Training & Career Development
You’ll receive full training in the company’s supply chain and ordering systems, with the chance to progress toward a longer term Number Two supply chain support position.
- Ordering and supplier relationship management.
- Stock control and purchasing software.
- Logistics planning and international shipping coordination.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a stores, or hospitality supply/cheffing role (preferred but not essential).
- Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Physically fit and comfortable with regular lifting and manual handling.
- Basic IT and numeracy skills (Excel / stock systems).
- Full UK driving license essential for delivery duties.
- Flexible to work early starts and additional hours when required.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
- Forklift license beneficial but not essential.
- Food Hygiene/Safety Certificate beneficial but not essential.
