Digital Marketing Assistant

Reporting to: AKA Group Head of Marketing, Reservations and Events, AKA Directors.
About Us: AKA Restaurants is a dynamic and growing group known for delivering unforgettable dining experiences across our iconic venues: The Hut, Colwell Bay, The Hut, Little Jumby, and Salty’s Pizza Yarmouth. With our focus on luxurious and unique hospitality experiences, across breathtaking venues situated around the world, we’re now looking for a creative and driven Marketing Assistant to support and enhance our marketing efforts as the business continues to expand.
Role Overview: As a Marketing Assistant, you’ll work closely with the Head of Marketing to enhance the online and offline presence of all 3 sites. This is a hands-on role for someone with a flair for digital content creation, social media management, and brand storytelling. You’ll help bring the vibrant personality of our venues to life through engaging visuals, compelling copy, and strategic marketing campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Website Management – Maintain and update website content across all venues to ensure accuracy, usability, and alignment with seasonal offerings.
- Social Media – Oversee day-to-day posting and community engagement across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Content Creation – Capture and edit photos and videos; create high-quality Reels and other digital assets using editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Canva).
- Graphic Design – Produce eye-catching flyers, posters, menus, and promotional materials in line with brand aesthetics.
- Email Marketing – Create and schedule engaging marketing emails using our CRM platform to target different customer segments.
- Google Business Profile Management – Regularly update Google listings with correct info and images.
- Attending meetings and networking events

- Copywriting – Write engaging and persuasive copy for campaigns, menus, website content, social media posts, and more.
- Brand Consistency – Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, tone of voice, and visual identity across all channels.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a marketing or digital assistant role (preferably within hospitality or lifestyle sectors)
- Strong grasp of social media trends and platforms, especially Instagram and TikTok
- Proficiency in photo and video editing tools and graphic design (e.g., Illustrator, Capcut, Canva)
- High energy, a naturally creative mind and familiarity with luxury F&B
- Experience using CRM and email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and eye for design
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Familiarity with website CMS (e.g. Wix) is a plus
