Support the Head/Sous Chef in managing kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking processes
Run the kitchen in the Head/Sous Chef's absence
Supervise and motivate kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality food production
Oversee food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper storage procedures to maintain compliance with health regulations
Assist in developing menu items, recipes, and presentation styles
Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure timely serving of dishes, stock levels, and excellent customer service
Monitor inventory levels and work with the Head/Sous Chef when placing orders for supplies. Learn to manage stock rotation efficiently
Lead by example in food preparation, ensuring consistency and excellence in every plate served
Has experience as a kitchen assistant/chef de partie or Junior Sous Chef, who's ready to step up into a busy working environment
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
A background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices
Previous hospitality experience is highly desirable
Excellent communication skills with a passion for serving guests and creating memorable dining experiences
