What you’ll do:
Our care assistants support clients to live safer and supported lives in their own homes by following individual care plans. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care (bathing, dressing, incontinence management, toileting, medication support), and practical tasks like shopping, mealtimes, and housework. Additional duties include:
- Researching the community and introducing service users to third-party sectors to enhance social skills, confidence, and independence.
- Attending meetings with social workers, OTs, team members, and team leaders to discuss progress and strategies for increased independence.
- Completing referrals for supportive technology (e.g., reminder clocks, medication dispensers, door sensors, GPS watches).
- Encouraging clients to achieve and maintain goals set by social workers with minimal input from the provider.
Qualifications:
What you’ll need: Compassionate, caring, and a good listener. One year of social care experience is required; specialist training will be provided.
