Academy Education Hybrid Tutor - GCSE Day Release Support in Huddersfield

Part-time and term time only, Wednesdays 8:45am – 10:45am (some flexibility with times may be required). We are looking for a suitably qualified Teacher to join our Academy education team at our Canalside Training Centre, working closely with Academy players and staff.

The successful candidate will support Academy players studying at GCSE level by delivering structured educational sessions that enable them to keep up with schoolwork missed due to their weekly day-release training commitments. The tutor will ensure players remain on track academically by providing guided support, clarification of key educational concepts, and assistance in completing assigned tasks.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience of teaching or supporting students at GCSE level, ideally in a secondary school or sports Academy environment. The role will require the Tutor to plan and deliver structured support sessions to small groups, adapting to the needs of different students. Candidates must be passionate about making a difference through sport, have excellent communication and organisational skills, and be able to form positive relationships with schools and players and their parents/carers to maximise players’ potential.

A recognised teaching qualification and Qualified Teacher Status are essential for this role. If you have the specified qualifications and personal attributes and are enthusiastic about making a difference to the education of our Academy players, we would love to hear from you.
