The HR Hero is a small but mighty HR Consultancy based in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.
We are an award-winning HR Consultancy specialising in HR for organisations who support children, young people and vulnerable adults, together with private businesses who employ between 1 to 100 staff.
We deliver practical HR solutions to our clients who need our support to ensure they comply with employment law and best practice. We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our small dedicated team.
An Overview of the Role
As a HRBP at The HR Hero, you will have the opportunity to work with our wonderful clients who operate in the private, public and charity sectors. Our clients are located across the UK, however the majority are located within Hereford and Worcestershire.
You will provide expert guidance in areas such as employee relations, compliance, employment law, people management and much more. This role is perfect for someone who is customer centric, enjoys giving practical advice to small business owners and wants to make an impact.
We need an experienced HR professional who has extensive experience in managing employment relations cases, and is capable of working with clients to lead on and manage their employment relations cases from start to end (with the support of the team).
You will need a high level of initiative and the confidence and flexibility to meet the demands of an external client base, together with the drive and enthusiasm to work independently.
We believe that the successful candidate will, along with other essential criteria:
- Ideally be qualified to Chartered CIPD level 5 or above, or have an employment law background.
- Be passionate about HR and want to enthuse others about this fabulous career.
- Have extensive experience of delivering robust generalist HR advice and guidance, including advising and coaching line managers and advising to a successful conclusion on a broad range of complex employee relations issues and projects such as restructures, redundancies and TUPE.
- Possess a strong understanding of employment law and legislation and be confident explaining risk to clients.
- Understand the pressures faced by both small businesses and large public sector organisations, with the ability to communicate effectively and quickly build trusted relationships with board members, owners, directors and managers.
- Demonstrate understanding, care and empathy while confidently influencing and constructively challenging senior leaders, including when delivering difficult information.
- Have excellent communication skills and be extremely skilled in influencing at all levels.
- Have excellent written skills, able to produce great quality documentation.
- Be comfortable working independently and using initiative to make decisions.

Salary: £34,000 to £42,000 (FTE) per annum, pro-rata.
Hours: 20-40 hours per week, days and hours flexible
