Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity for a full‑time Employee Relations Advisor to join our friendly team.
Responsibilities
- Supporting our HR Consultants through the provision of generalist, proactive support on a range of employee‑relations issues.
- Providing an efficient service for our clients.
- Leading and managing complex and sensitive ER cases, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence management, redundancy and appeals.
- Coaching and supporting line managers to build their ER capability and confidence in handling people matters.
- Advising on employment law and internal policies, ensuring a fair and consistent approach.
- Managing the email inbox and responding to clients in a timely manner.
- Answering telephone calls from our clients on all ER matters, providing a timely response and solution.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in an Employee Relations Advisor role.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and best‑practice ER case management.
- A coaching mindset with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels.
- Comfortable managing a varied and high‑volume caseload with a proactive and solutions‑focused approach.
- Experience of advising on redundancy processes is a plus.
- Resilient, flexible, assertive and confident in approach.
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage and prioritise a busy and varied workload.
- Excellent stakeholder, people and change management skills.
- Customer‑focused approach.
- Problem‑solving ability in a fast‑paced business.
- CIPD or employment law qualification is a plus.
