The HR Booth are delighted to be recruiting an Account Executive on behalf of Anderson Smith Insurance Brokers.
Who are we? Anderson Smith Insurance Brokers are a recently established and truly Scottish owned independent insurance broker based in Kinross, Scotland. We pride ourselves on providing a very high level of customer service by offering suitable bespoke insurance advice to our clients and prospects. As members of the Bravo Network, we are proud to have been voted Bravo Network Broker of the Year 2025. Following continued growth and significant new business wins we have recently opened a new office in Edinburgh and are now looking to recruit Account Executives of all levels of experience and seniority to join our growing team.
This is a full time, permanent role based in our new Edinburgh office, working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The Role: As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, prospective clients and insurers. You will play a key role in supporting the continued growth of the business by managing client relationships, identifying new opportunities and developing your own prospecting sales plan. Rest assured you will not have to do this alone, you will be supported by our senior management team and an experienced team of account handlers.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Building your own prospecting sales plan
- Arranging and advising on new policies, renewals and mid-term adjustments
- Preparing new business and renewal reports
- Preparing insurance documents and insurer presentations
- Managing the claim process on behalf of your clients
- Ensuring compliance and efficiency with records management and client information handling
About You: This role would suit a motivated and commercially minded insurance professional who enjoys building relationships, developing new business opportunities and delivering excellent client service. You may already be an experienced Account Executive, or you may be looking to take the next step in your commercial insurance career. We are open to speaking with candidates at different levels of experience and seniority, provided you have the drive, professionalism and client-focused approach to succeed in the role.
Essential:
- Proven sales track record
- Experience of commercial insurance product
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Ability to manage client relationships and identify new business opportunities
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient IT skills
- Full UK Driving licence
Desirable:
- Experience of using Acturis would be advantageous however this is not essential as training will be provided
