The HR Booth are delighted to be recruiting a Sales & Marketing Manager on behalf of Forbes of Kingennie, a stunning resort destination nestled in the heart of Angus. Forbes of Kingennie Country Resort is one of Scotland's leading luxury countryside destinations, renowned for its award-winning lodges, exceptional destination dining, outdoor experiences, and beautifully hosted weddings, private celebrations, and corporate events.
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Sales & Marketing Manager to lead the resort's marketing strategy while overseeing the sales team to drive revenue growth across the business. This is a pivotal leadership role focused on strengthening the brand, increasing enquiries and bookings, and supporting the resort's continued growth.
As Sales & Marketing Manager, you will develop and implement an integrated sales and marketing strategy that positions the resort as a premium destination for leisure breaks, weddings, events, and corporate business. You will oversee all marketing activity, including digital marketing, website performance, content creation, PR, and strategic partnerships, while leading and supporting the sales team to maximise enquiries and improve conversion rates.
A key aspect of the role will involve analysing performance across sales and marketing channels, producing detailed reports, and presenting strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership and board-level stakeholders.
Due to our countryside location, there is NO public transport to or from the resort. Applicants must have access to their own reliable transport (car, motorbike, etc.) to travel to and from work.
- Develop and deliver an integrated sales and marketing strategy aligned with the resort's commercial objectives.
- Strengthen brand positioning as a leading luxury countryside destination in Scotland.
- Plan and deliver seasonal campaigns promoting accommodation, dining, weddings, and outdoor experiences.
- Manage the resort website to maximise user experience and booking conversion.
- Oversee digital marketing including paid advertising, email campaigns, and social media.
- Lead and manage the resort's sales team, setting targets and driving proactive sales activity.
- Monitor enquiries, conversions, and campaign performance to maximise revenue growth.
- Produce regular commercial reports and present sales and marketing performance at board level.
Requirements:
- 5 years experience in a sales, marketing, or commercial role within the hospitality, tourism, or events sector.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, including email marketing, social media management, and paid advertising campaigns.
- Experience managing, mentoring, or leading a sales team.
