We’re looking for a people-loving, culture-championing Coordinator to join The Hoxton, Edinburgh. Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, you’ll support daily people operations and gain HR experience in a fast-paced company, helping people from a variety of backgrounds. Our people team is creative and ambitious, and you’ll work on projects across the employee journey.

We’ve opened our doors in Edinburgh’s charming West End, home to 214 bedrooms, a lively lobby and bar, Patatino (all-day Italian trattoria), a retro cinema, The Get Together event space, and The Apartment for meetings and private events.

The Hoxton is a series of open-house hotels in neighbourhoods we love. We strive to offer style, value, and spaces where guests can hang out with locals and immerse themselves in the neighbourhood.

  • 29 days holiday (including bank holidays), pension and life insurance.
  • Food on us during your shift.
  • Enjoy a free night at The Hoxton and a meal for two when you first start with us.
  • Training to settle into your role with ongoing development for success at work.
  • Time off to volunteer with partner charities.
  • Hox Hero and Nifty Fifty rewards for going the extra mile and living our values.
  • Annual diversity and inclusion calendar of events to learn, celebrate, and make a positive impact.
  • Regular team get-togethers and team parties.
  • The opportunity to work in a creative, rewarding environment within an innovative, fast-growing international group.
  • Excellent discounts across The Hoxton and the Ennismore family.

What You’ll Do

  • Be the first point of contact for general questions and requests, providing key support within the people team.
  • Manage the administration of core touchpoints throughout the employee journey.
  • Maintain our people tracker and oversee various people platforms.
  • Run and support various reports from holiday accruals to headcount.
  • Support recruitment needs, including CV pre-screening and telephone screening.
  • Assist with talent attraction from advertising on The Hoxton website and local job boards; keep recruitment systems up to date.
  • Help ensure a positive onboarding experience for new joiners, including arranging starter paperwork, setting up tech, assisting with inductions, and ensuring smooth settling in.
  • Support with related activities such as room setups, training coordination, and bot/poster creation.
  • Coordinate regular events (Fun-time Friday, team get-togethers) that people look forward to.
  • Participate in team activities and contribute to a collaborative team culture.

What We’re Looking For

  • Individuals who want to be themselves in a place that values authenticity.
  • Passion for hospitality—whether that’s a drink, a meal, an event, or a bed for the night.
  • A positive impact on people you interact with and a desire to leave them with a memorable experience.
  • The ability to get things done without ego, and a willingness to try different approaches.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a readiness to work hard, support others, and have fun.
  • Previous HR experience is beneficial; HR qualification or progression toward it is welcome.
  • A genuine people-person who builds relationships and helps others.
  • Desire to learn and progress in HR; comfortable with systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to keep everything in the right place.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, able to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
