We are looking for a Back of House Manager to join our team of superstars at The Hoxton Shepherd's Bush. Our fourth London Hoxton is located in the heart of Shepherd’s Bush, in the beating heart of an eclectic and diverse neighbourhood, with 237 playfully designed bedrooms and an all-day restaurant - Chet’s serving Thai American comfort food.

Job Description

What you’ll do…

  • Responsible for the H&S in the loading bay and BOH areas including staff areas
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and food safe working area in the loading bay.
  • Oversee COSHH training and certification for all F&B areas
  • Assist with BOH audits on H&S
  • Oversee all goods receiving and work with finance on related paperwork and systems
  • Ordering all required chemicals and store them in accordance with legal and company guidelines
  • Responsible for overseeing the ordering of all F&B products for Outlets and staff canteen, liaising with the Chefs to ensure this is done correctly.
  • Ensuring that all F&B products are received and stored correctly within the hotel.
  • Maintain company guidelines for refuse storage and removal and liaising with the contractors
  • Liaise with maintenance team and contractors regarding upkeep of BOH areas
  • Responsible for the safe opening and closing of the designated culinary areas
  • General maintenance of all culinary areas, equipment, and F&F’s

Qualifications

What we’re looking for…

  • COSHH certified/ COSHH trainer is desirable but not essential
  • Experience using stock system and goods receiving systems
  • Experience using kitchen equipment and recommended cleaning methods
  • A natural at leading and managing others, you lead by example and create a welcoming environment
  • Passion for hospitality – whether that’s a drink, a meal, an event or a bed for the night
  • You’re all about having a positive impact on the people you interact with, leaving them with a memorable experience
  • You’re not precious. We leave our egos at the door and help get stuff done
  • You’re up for doing things differently and trying (almost) everything once
