We’re looking for an

Apartment Supervisor to make every meeting and event at The Hoxton, Edinburgh feel effortless and unforgettable.

Reporting to the Events Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for creating and delivering unforgettable experiences for our guests.

From setting up, running and wrapping-up of day and evening meetings and events.

This is an operational role, where you’ll be hands on in the spaces, making sure the guests that use our space have a brilliant experience whether it is for a business meeting or social occasion.

We’ve opened our doors in Edinburgh’s charming West End - our very first Hox in Scotland.

Set across 11 beautiful Georgian townhouses, we’re home to 214 bedrooms, a lively open lobby and bar, an all-day Italian trattoria Patatino, a retro-inspired cinema, a flexible and super-size event space called The Get Together, and The Apartment – our unique signature spot for meetings, private dinners and memorable gatherings.

More about us…

The Hoxton is a series of open-house hotels, each in a neighbourhood that we love.

Ever since we opened our first hotel in Shoreditch, we’ve never just been about offering a bed for the night.

We want to be more than that: proving style doesn’t need to be sacrificed for good value and providing a place where guests can hang out alongside the locals and submerse themselves in the neighbourhood with vibrant, welcoming public spaces.

  • Hox Hero and Nifty Fifty, our rewards for going the extra mile and living our values.
  • An annual diversity and inclusion calendar of events creating opportunities for you to learn, celebrate and make a positive impact.

  • Join an innovative, fast-growing, international group that is shaking things up on the hospitality scene.
  • Excellent discounts across The Hoxton and the global Ennismore family.
  • What you’ll do…
  • Be the operational lead during your shift, making sure events run smoothly from set-up through to pack-down and that every guest has a brilliant experience.
  • Support the Events Operations Manager in delivering the events programme, bringing plans to life and ensuring everything is ready for each event.
  • Lead by example on the floor, working alongside the team and jumping in wherever needed to keep service running seamlessly.
  • Support, coach and guide the Apartment Hosts and events team throughout the shift, helping them build confidence, maintain our standards and deliver top Hox experiences.
  • Be the go-to person for day-to-day operational questions, resolving issues quickly and escalating anything that needs additional support.
  • Work closely with the Sales, Meetings & Events and hotel teams to ensure a smooth handover and seamless guest journey from enquiry through to departure.
  • Make sure the Apartment and event spaces are always event-ready, from room set-ups and presentation to equipment, cleanliness and atmosphere.
  • Ensure food and beverage service is delivered to a consistently high standard, working closely with the kitchen and wider hotel teams.
  • Look for ways to improve how we operate day-to-day, sharing ideas and feedback with the Events Operations Manager to continually enhance the guest experience.
  • Complete day-to-day administrative tasks such as recording feedback, supporting stock control, cash-ups and handling basic event administration where needed.
  • Help maintain a safe, secure and compliant environment by following all health & safety procedures and supporting the wider team to do the same.
  • Work collaboratively with every department across the hotel to create memorable experiences for our guests.

What we’re looking for..

  • Individuals. You’re looking for a place where you can be you; no clones in suits here.
  • Passion for hospitality – whether that’s a drink, a meal, an event or a bed for the night.
  • You’re all about having a positive impact on the people you interact with, leaving them with a memorable experience.
  • You’re not precious. We leave our egos at the door and help get things done.

  • You genuinely care about the little details because you know they're often the things guests remember most.
  • You're organized, proactive and can juggle multiple priorities without losing sight of the guest experience.
  • You build great relationships with your teammates and colleagues across the hotel because you know brilliant events are a team effort.
  • Hospitality isn't just what you do, it's who you are. You take pride in creating welcoming, memorable experiences for everyone who walks through the door.
  • You're curious, open to new ideas and always looking for ways to make things work even bette
