Strategic trustee role for a developing education-to-employment platform, focusing on local government alignment, skills systems, and scalable delivery.

What are we looking for?
- Strong understanding of how local systems operate and how education, skills, and employment priorities are delivered in practice.
- Essential Experience within local government, public sector, or a related delivery environment.
- Understanding of how policy translates into local implementation.
- Ability to think strategically and contribute at board level.
- Confidence to provide constructive challenge and independent perspective.
- Strong communication and stakeholder awareness.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience in education, skills, or economic development.
- Familiarity with Careers Hubs, Gatsby Benchmarks, or similar frameworks.
- Experience of cross-sector partnership working.
- Insight into funding structures or commissioning within local authorities.

It enables schools, employers, colleges and universities to deliver structured, real-world career experiences aligned with the Gatsby Benchmarks, the 2026 UK Education White Paper, and the Careers.
