Cleaning Operative
Salary: £28,000
Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30
The Housing Network (THN) is currently recruiting for a Cleaning Operative to work in the Plymouth / Exeter area. We are a purpose‑led organisation working in partnership with the YMCA to support our communities. We are in an exciting period of growth and are looking for experienced and passionate people to help us support vulnerable individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
The Cleaning Operative Will Be Responsible For
- Carry out scheduled work on void properties to bring them up to a high standard and in accordance with the Council’s targets prescribed in the contract.
- Clean rooms/communal areas as directed, ensuring that all rooms/communal areas are maintained to a high quality standard.
- Clean void rooms to prepare them for new residents.
- Remove rubbish and dispose of it correctly.
- Check kitchen and laundry room appliances are clean and free from hazards, and ensure common areas are clean and free from hazards as directed regularly.
- Ensure that the communal areas are hygienic and well maintained.
- Report any repairs to the maintenance office team.
- Carry out sharps sweeps.
- Follow all COSHH and company policies.
The Cleaning Operative Will Have
- Cleaning experience (preferably within a residential/housing setting).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Full UK Driver’s Licence.
