We are the Housing Network (THN), a purpose‑led organisation working in partnership with the YMCA to support our communities. We are a growing company, recently ranked 200th in the FT1000 Fastest Growing Companies in Europe. We support vulnerable individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Join as a Junior Financial Accountant during a period of rapid growth. This varied role requires adaptability, eagerness to learn and comfort operating in a changing financial landscape. You will work closely with colleagues across the finance function and the wider business, building strong relationships to drive the best outcomes.

What you'll be doing:

  • Support production of month end reporting from Trial Balance.
  • Continually assess and review financial processes to ensure they are "fit for purpose" and ask the "why".
  • Assist in the preparation, review, and timely resolution of balance sheet reconciliations, proactively identifying and investigating variances.
  • Contribute to the preparation and submission of VAT returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and statutory deadlines.
  • Oversee and review sales invoice process every month.
  • Partner within the business to problem solve in real time.
  • Partner with the Financial Controller and Finance Manager on project‑led workstreams.
  • Act as a role model within the business and champion the values that are agreed to be core to our corporate purpose and culture.
  • In addition to the above, the role may involve other tasks and activities that reasonably relate to managing the properties and supporting the resident.
