Job Description
The Housing Forum is looking for a talented and engaging chief executive officer who will provide leadership to the small internal team and the wider housing sector with an effective strategy to maintain and grow membership, run a full programme of events across England, engage with key government housing bodies such as MHCLG and Homes England on housing policy and support the non-executive board members.
The successful candidate will assume responsibility for the current team of five colleagues, delivering a high quality and valuable offer to members and elevate and secure The Housing Forum’s profile in the housing sector as a leader of change.
The role would be suitable for an aspiring first time CEO, with strong knowledge of the housing sector, drive and outstanding relationship building skills. We are looking for a leader with the vision and grip to take the organisation onto the next level of its journey.
A wide range of ways of flexible working, including a four day week, could be accommodated in this role and can be discussed in detail with shortlisted candidates. Presence in The Housing Forum office in Central London will be required at least weekly, as well as at in-person events which are held all across England. The role will also support hybrid working and the team currently work on a hybrid fashion.
