The House of Genesis is a Norwich based Christian charity that provides accommodation, support and advice to adult ex-offenders and homeless men. The charity is recruiting an Operations Manager, who will provide operational leadership and management focusing on staff and volunteer development, organisational compliance, positive outcomes for residents and financial management.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Service Delivery: Working with the Board of Trustees to set and achieve organisational objectives, focusing on preventing homelessness and delivering successful & safe support ensuring compliance with all policies.
- Financial & Operational Management: Managing budgets, ensuring the long-term future of the charity.
- Partnership: Developing productive, collaborative relationships with partners.
- Housing & Compliance: Ensure all properties meet all safety & HMO requirements.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Leadership Experience: Experience of managing a team and volunteers ideally in supported housing, homelessness, or working with prison leavers.
- Empowerment & change: The ability to empower people to make positive changes, showing empathy whilst maintaining professional boundaries.
- Finance: Experience of managing budgets, fundraising and identifying opportunities to maximise income.

- Deliver good quality, effective support to residents.
- Team leadership, management and development.
- Supporting charity governance.
The successful candidate will require an enhanced DBS check to be undertaken.
Based in Norwich.
37 Hour working week.
Salary range £35k to £38k.
