We are looking for a dynamic, practical, and proactive Senior Maintenance Technician to take responsibility for the day-to-day upkeep of our buildings and offices. This is a hands-on position, ideal for someone who enjoys being out on-site, leading by example, and working closely with their team.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Customer Experience, you will oversee all maintenance operations, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standards. You will manage a small and dedicated maintenance team while remaining actively involved in day-to-day tasks, from routine repairs to seasonal projects. Your work will directly support the smooth running of our site and help maintain the exceptional appearance our customers expect.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and work alongside the Maintenance Team in daily operational tasks
- Oversee building and facilities maintenance across the site
- Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and relevant legislation
- Coordinate and supervise external contractors when required
- Maintain maintenance schedules, seasonal plans, and project timelines
- Monitor site presentation and address issues promptly to minimise disruption
- Support the Head of Customer Experience with improvement projects and operational needs
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience in facilities or grounds management (retail, hospitality, or estate management preferred)
- Is comfortable leading a team while remaining very hands-on in daily tasks
- Takes pride in maintaining exceptional standards
- Is organised, proactive, and confident managing contractors and suppliers
- Understands health & safety best practice
- Thrives in a fast-paced, practical environment rather than an office-based role
- Sound understanding of electrical, plumbing and decorating tasks is essential
