We're looking for an enthusiastic and organised Meetings & Events Executive to join our busy Meetings & Events Sales team at one of London's largest hotels. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, building strong client relationships and managing events from the initial enquiry through to successful delivery.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing meetings and events enquiries from initial enquiry through to post-event follow-up.
  • Preparing proposals, quotations, contracts and event documentation.
  • Building strong relationships with clients to ensure an exceptional customer experience throughout the booking journey.
  • Maximising booking conversions through effective follow-up and proactive sales techniques.
  • Identifying opportunities to upsell accommodation, catering and additional services.
  • Liaising closely with Operations, Kitchen, Reservations, Finance and Sales teams to ensure every event is delivered seamlessly.
  • Producing accurate function sheets and ensuring all event details are communicated effectively to operational teams.
  • Managing your event diary to maximise revenue and profitability.
  • Handling client feedback and resolving issues professionally.
  • Supporting promotional activities, client show rounds and networking events where required.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring company standards and procedures are followed at all times.

Requirements

We're looking for an organised, customer-focused professional who enjoys building relationships and delivering exceptional events from enquiry through to completion. To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • Previous experience in a Meetings & Events, Conference & Events, Reservations or Hotel Sales role, ideally within a four or five-star hotel.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience managing event enquiries, quotations and bookings from initial enquiry through to completion.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • A commercial mindset with confidence in negotiating rates and identifying upselling opportunities.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues across Operations, Kitchen, Sales and Reservations.
  • Good administrative skills and experience producing event documentation and function sheets.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive, proactive and solution-focused attitude.
  • Confidence working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office. Experience with Opera Sales & Catering or a similar hotel sales system would be an advantage.

Desirable

  • Previous experience within a high-volume Meetings & Events venue.
  • Knowledge of the London corporate and events market.
  • Experience working with agency bookings and corporate clients.
  • Understanding of hotel revenue management principles.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and the planning and delivery of conferences, meetings, weddings or social events.
