We're looking for an experienced, commercially driven M&E Sales Office Manager to lead our Meetings & Events Sales team at one of London's largest hotels. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys developing people, and has a passion for driving revenue through exceptional customer relationships and operational excellence.
Working closely with the Director of Sales, you'll be responsible for leading the reactive M&E Sales team, growing existing business, securing new accounts, and ensuring every meeting and event is delivered seamlessly from enquiry through to execution.

What you'll be doing
- Leading, motivating and developing the M&E Sales Office team to achieve exceptional results.
- Driving revenue growth across meetings, conferences, events and group business.
- Managing and developing key client accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Working closely with Operations, Reservations, Revenue and F&B teams to ensure outstanding event delivery.
- Monitoring business levels, forecasting revenue and contributing to budgeting and profit targets.
- Developing sales plans, promotions and account strategies to maximise market share.
- Analysing market trends, competitor activity and customer performance to identify commercial opportunities.
- Ensuring Opera Sales & Catering is maintained accurately and departmental standards are consistently met.
- Conducting hotel show rounds, networking events and client meetings to build long-term relationships.
- Supporting clients throughout the planning process and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction before, during and after every event.
Requirements
We're looking for a motivated sales professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service while driving commercial success. To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Previous experience in a Meetings & Events, Conference & Events or Hotel Sales role, ideally within a four-star or five-star hotel.
- Experience leading or supervising a sales team.
- A proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing revenue.
- Strong account management and business development experience.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- The ability to build lasting relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Experience using Opera Sales & Catering or a similar hotel sales system (preferred).
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, positive and solutions-focused approach.
- Confidence working independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
- Flexibility to attend client meetings, networking events and occasional evening functions when required.
Desirable
- Experience within a high-volume meetings and events venue.
- Existing knowledge of the London corporate, agency or MICE market.
- Experience preparing sales forecasts, budgets and business plans.
- Understanding of revenue management principles within the hotel industry.
